Do Christmas light installers take the lights down after the holidays?

Most do. A lot of companies include takedown in the price and some store your lights for next year too. Others charge $50 to $200+ to come take them down. I was quoted myself by a subcontractor $1,000 for a removal on a job that takes 1.5 hours to remove with two guys. I laughed on the inside and never asked for a price from them again. Just make sure takedown is written in your quote so there's no surprise in January.
